Southern Railway to run Onam Specials

Thiruvananthapuram: The Southern Railway will run Special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during Onam Festival season.

According to a press release here, the Chennai Central-Mangalore Central Superfast special (via Coimbatore) will leave Chennai Central at 2045 hrs on August 25 and arrive at Mangalore Central at1305 hrs, the next day.

The Mangalore Central-Chennai Central Special will leave Mangalore Central at 19.20 hrs on August 26 and arrive at Chennai Central at 1245 hrs, the next day.

The Chennai Central-Ernakulam Superfast Special (via Coimbatore) will leave Chennai Central at 2230 hrs on August 24 and arrive at Ernakulam Jn at 1100 hrs, the next day.

The Ernakulam-Chennai Central Superfast Special will leave Ernakulam at 1505 hrs on August 25 and arrive at Chennai Central at 0330 hrs, the next day.

The Chennai Central-Shoranur Superfast Special (via Coimbatore) will leave Chennai Central at 2230 hrs on August 26 and 30 and arrive at Shoranur at 0850 hrs, the next day.

The Shoranur-Chennai Central Superfast Special will leave Shoranur at 1705 hrs on August 27 and 31 and arrive at Chennai Central at 0330 hrs, the next day.

The Chennai Central-Ernakulam Jn Superfast Special (via Coimbatore) will leave Chennai Central at 1815 hrs on September 1 and arrive Ernakulam Jn at 0615 hrs, the next day.

The Ernakulam Jn-Chennai Central Superfast Special will leave Ernakulam Jn at 1530 hrs on September 2 and arrive Chennai Central at 0330 hrs, the next day.

The Chennai Central-Kollam Special (via Coimbatore) will leave Chennai Central at 2330 hrs on August 26 and September 2 and arrive Kollam at 1600 hrs, the next day.

The Kollam-Chennai Central Special will leave Kollam at 1930 hrs on August 27 and September 3 and arrive at Chennai Central at 1130 hrs, the next day.

The Chennai Central-Kochuveli Superfast Special (via Coimbatore) will leave Chennai Central at 2045 hrs on August 29 and arrive Kochuveli at 1240 hrs, the next day.

The Kochuveli-Chennai Central Superfast Special will leave Kochuveli at 1700 hrs on August 30 and arrive at Chennai Central at 0940 hrs, the next day.

    Kannur: Senior Kerala Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader P Jayarajan was arrested in Kannur district on Wednesday in connection to the murder of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) worker Abdul Shukoor.
