PM to visit Kerala on Sept 12

Thrissur: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will visit the Kerala Kalamandalam Deemed University at Cheruthuruthy in Thrissur Disrtict on September 12.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the South Indian Ranga Kala Museum in the University at 1600 hours in a function to be conducted on the same day, a University press release said.

A reception committee had formed in this connection as the Vice Chancellor Dr P N Suresh as Chairman and former Kerala Minister Pandalam Sudhakaran as General Convenor, it added.

    Kannur: Senior Kerala Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader P Jayarajan was arrested in Kannur district on Wednesday in connection to the murder of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) worker Abdul Shukoor.
